Who we are
Augustinian Community (ACO) Foundation is a nonpolitical, nonreligious, and non-profit making organization registered under section 10 of the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Act in the Republic of Kenya. Its membership is in Africa. The main aim of the Foundation is to promote environmental protection and natural resources conservation in Africa.
The motivation behind this initiative is the fact that we are living in a dirty environment more especially in Major Cities and towns in Kenya.
Therefore, Visual pollution, Air pollution, Water pollution, and Soil pollution are quite evident. The main contributing factor is the increasing urban population which has made the demand for food and other essentials rise, hence causing the amount of waste being generated daily by each household to increase. However, not all of this solid waste gets collected and transported to the final dumpsites.
This is an African Organization which natures environmental Sustainability — the greatest challenge of our time. Our bold, game-changing solutions put people at the center of all we do.
