The ultimate goal of this directorate is to make every activity around us environment friendly. To be environment friendly means adapting a lifestyle that protects environment and conserve natural resources.

1) Department of Environmental Protection for Environmental Sustainability

This department concerns itself with all programs that are aimed at reducing risks to the environment from contaminants such as hazardous materials and wastes, fuels, and oils.

 2) Department of Natural Resources Conservation for Environmental Sustainability

This department deals with the conservation of earth’s natural resources which include air, minerals, plants, soil, water, and wildlife. Conservation is the care and protection of these resources so that they can persist for future generations

 3) Department of Environmental Art and Music for Environmental Sustainability

This department deals with all artistic works that are intended to enhance or become part of the environment or make a statement on environmental issues intended to change the way we view our world as far as environmental sustainability is concerned.

This department also looks at the use of music in environmental education aimed at enhancing interest in environmental topics and perceptions of the value of the natural world, especially when nature itself is recognized as being musical.

 4) Department of Environmental Conflict Management for Environmental Sustainability

This department looks at the contests that exist as a result of the various competing interests over access and use of natural resources such as land, water, minerals and forests. This department introduces us to the research and practice of environmental conflict, and provides a step-by-step process for engaging stakeholders and other interested parties in the management of environmental disputes

 5) Department of Institutional Strengthening for Environmental Sustainability

This department focuses on increasing the capacity or ability of institutions to perform their functions for environmental sustainability. There is a particular focus on improving governance for environmental sustainability.

 6) Department of Advocacy for Environmental Sustainability

This department deals with the presentation of information on ecological issues as a way to encourage audiences to adopt more environmentally sensitive practices and biocentric worldviews.

 7) Department of Afforestation and Reforestation for Environmental Sustainability

This department deals with reforestation and afforestation programs. Reforestation includes planting trees or allowing trees to regrow on land that had recently been covered with forest. Afforestation involves planting trees on land that has not recently been covered with forest.
